In 1997, whilst still working as a nurse, Kath graduated as a practitioner from The Northern College of Acupuncture. She has been in practice since 1998 and currently has her own clinic in Harrogate with a loyal list of regular patients. People travel from all over North Yorkshire to be treated and patients from her time in the Skipton area still travel to Harrogate for her treatment.
Kath 'fell' into treating women with fertility issues.
Kath has extensive postgraduate training in pregnancy and fertility issues. She enjoys supporting women during this phase of their lives.
She is a founder member of ACT Yorkshire (A professional acupuncture group offering specialist treatment for fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and post-natal health)
Hence, her wide-ranging area of expertise, 'from birth to death' and infertility in-between. She is an experienced practitioner in Shanishin (Paediatric Acupuncture) and enjoys working with all ages of children from birth onwards.
Kath has been involved in two research projects in the past few years and continues to develop and hone her skills. In 2000 she travelled to China to experience traditional acupuncture being used in hospitals and clinics as a primary form of treatment.
She is also an experienced Reiki practitioner - her holistic approach to treatment enables her to treat patients using a range of skills most effective for the person as a whole.
